This massage incorporates the use of light Swedish strokes to begin client relaxation. Once the body has been prepared with warm coconut oil the warmed bamboo are introduced to the client. The combination Swedish and warm bamboo prepares the client’s tissue for deeper work. The warmed bamboo sticks are used as a therapist would use an elbow or thumb to ease areas of deep tension. Warmed bamboo is effective on sore shoulders, tight IT bands and areas of chronic overuse and stress.

TMJ is an abbreviation that many people use for disorders that affect the temporomandibular joint and the muscles that control your jaw movement. Massage can be used to alleviate some of the pain and discomfort from TMJ dysfunction. A session is usually focused on the upper body specifically tense shoulder, neck, face and head muscles. Massaging these areas using techniques such as kneading, circular friction and stretching can alleviate TMJ pain. If the client is open to the treatment, it can include intraoral work to the masseter muscle.
Oncology Massage is a special type of massage developed specifically for cancer patients. Cancer patients have unique needs which must be addressed to make sure that a massage is beneficial to their health. I focus my attention on creating a gentle, nurturing environment for you to relax into. Opening with lymphatic drainage of the upper shoulders/head and incorporating reflexology work to the hands and feet. During the massage I will also concentrate on any areas of concern for a full body massage.
